Hustle Walk Club

Privacy Policy

Updated September 22, 2026

Hustle Walk Club is a virtual walking community operated by Marquiste Boyce. This policy explains how we use information when you visit hustlewalkclub.com, create an account, track walks, or participate in the club.

Information we collect

Country information is supplied by you and can be used in club country statistics. We do not collect your precise GPS location or walking routes.

How we use information

We use this information to run your account, display your journal and progress, calculate goals and streaks, provide challenges and combined club statistics, support community features, deliver account emails, and maintain the safety and operation of the club.

Club administrators can review member account details, signup dates, country, account activity, walking totals, and engagement statistics. The administrator receives an email when a member signs up containing their name, username, email, signup time, goal, time zone, and country if supplied. Passwords and private journal notes are not included in that email.

What other people can see

Your private journal notes and individual connected health records are not shown to other members. Your steps contribute to combined club totals and challenges. Community posts, replies, and playlists you choose to share are visible to others through the club's community features. Please only post information you are comfortable sharing.

Optional Google Health connection

Connecting Google Health is optional and is available to eligible pilot accounts. With your permission, we request read-only activity and fitness access and retrieve daily step and available distance totals. We do not retrieve sleep, heart rate, location, or nutrition records.

Routine sync imports the last seven days when you use the club's sync features. You can request older totals in date ranges of up to 90 days per import or restore a specific day, subject to data available from Google. History imports preserve manual and explicitly excluded entries; restoring a specific day switches its step tracking back to Google. Walking minutes are entered manually.

Imported data supports your walking journal, progress, goals, and club challenges. Google Health data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Authorization tokens are encrypted before database storage.

Hustle Walk Club's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Planned Garmin support

Garmin connectivity is not currently available, and we do not currently collect information from Garmin. We are exploring an optional connection for daily steps and distance. Before launching it, we will update this policy to describe the approved integration and its data controls. Each member would need to authorize their own connection.

Service providers and external content

We use Vercel to host the app, Neon to store account and club data, and Resend to deliver account and administrator notification emails. These services process information needed to provide their services. Connected health services process your authorization and data requests under their own policies.

Playlists use YouTube videos. Opening or playing embedded content can send technical information to YouTube and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Links to other websites are governed by those websites' policies.

Cookies and security

We use session cookies to keep you signed in and support account security. Passwords are stored as hashes, and connected Google authorization tokens are encrypted in storage. Access to administrative features is restricted. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices, retention, and deletion

You can update your profile and manage journal entries through your account. We retain saved journal entries until you delete them or request account deletion. Account and community information is kept to provide the club's features; contact us to request deletion of your account and associated information.

You can disconnect Google Health in Profile & settings. Disconnecting removes stored connection credentials and stops further imports. You can also choose to delete entries still marked as imported when disconnecting. Manually edited entries remain in your journal and can be deleted there. You can separately revoke access in your Google Account permissions.

If you delete a journal day while keeping Google connected, a later sync can import that day again. Use the option to exclude the day from future syncs if you want it to stay out of your journal. Restoring that day explicitly allows it to be imported again.

For access, correction, account deletion, or other privacy requests, email mboyce84@gmail.com. We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request.

Policy updates and contact

We will update this page as our data practices change and show the updated date above. For questions, contact Marquiste Boyce at mboyce84@gmail.com.
